Hatfield retained many elements of the third generation when designing the Air Jordan 4. The "Nike Air" logo appears on the heel again. The Jumpman pattern returns to the tongue, but the word "Flight" is added. The heel still retains the visible Air cushioning unit, and the forefoot uses a closed Air cushioning unit. The first two color schemes are still white with cement gray and black with cement gray.
